The Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH) serves as the first point of entry into the homeless social service system for many of Austins adults experiencing homelessness.

Intake is done at 6:00am weekdays and only for a few hours!

The ARCH doors are open to everyone, whether it is their first time being homeless, or they have been living on the streets for years, is designed to assess client needs, provide information on how and where to access services, and meet the basic emergency needs of homeless adults.

Basic shelter services provided on a daily basis:
Restrooms
Showers
Lockers
Laundry
Internet Access
Mail Pickup

Additional Services:
Clinic that provides health care and specialized services to meet basic needs
Large commercial kitchen
Dinning room where homeless adults that are staying at the shelter can get nightly meals
Sleeping areas for homeless day or night
Day Resource Center

  1. Follow the rules, protect and keep an eye on all your personal belongings, arrive on time to be let in or get shut out for the evening..

    Very awesome medical assistance and a short waiting period with friendly nurses as well as clerical security!!!

    Not an issue in the past before. Was all a good experience during my stay (2015 - 2020) prior to the pandemic. Now, i am back again.
