The Courtyard Homeless Resource Center

Address
1401 Las Vegas Blvd N
Las Vegas, NV - 89101

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing a safe place for the homeless to sleep at night.
Provides shelter for people and their pets.

Also provides medical assistance, employment assistance services, free showers, rest rooms, a kitchen, mail boxes, pet kennel.

* This is a Coordinated Entry Assessment location for Southern Nevada.
What happens when you go to a Coordinated Entry Site?

You will be asked to complete a short triage assessment to see if you are experiencing a crisis. If you are, immediate assistance or referrals will be provided.
The triage assessment will determine the housing assessment to be completed based upon your household type. The housing assessment determines the type of housing that is most appropriate for you. Sometimes assessments show that a person might not be qualified for housing. If that happens, the worker will refer you to other community resources that you might need.
If you do qualify for housing, you might not be matched or referred right away. You will be placed on a waiting list called the "Community Queue" and matched to housing services in the community when a space becomes available.
It is important that you stay in touch with the worker while you are waiting to get updates so the worker knows you are still interested. If you do not stay in touch with the worker, you could lose your place on the waiting list.

  3. It all depends on what you would consider safe. At this time there are mentally ill people, violent offenders, elderly people and intellectually challenged people living together and a perfect discord. I do not find it safe at all.

  3. They do accept pets there. It is not a nice clean happy environment for the pets but they do accept them. I would imagine that many of them get left behind much like the people who become cast out and misfits forgotten in the system.

I stayed here in October and November of 2018 after my husband took his own life. I felt safe here. There’s a lot of good resources for people. You just gotta want to get off the streets . This place is good for a temporary fix but no longer. I’m no longer homeless but wish to thank the people at this shelter for what they do everyday to help the homeless of Las Vegas

If you have any alternative, do not come here. This institution is hidden behind an iron gate that resembles a concentration camp.
