Description: Housing Services:

On-Site Supportive Housing
There are two types of On-Site Supportive Housing at our 510 South 8th Street Residence:

Housing Supports (formerly GRH): County-funded beds for men and women who have experienced long-term homelessness.

Veterans Administration Beds: For homeless veterans who are referred through the V.A.

Once they move into our residential building, clients have the opportunity to meet regularly with a case manager to identify their needs, set goals, and connect with resources. Client goals typically include education, job training, family reunification, and long-term housing.

All of our residents have access to free laundry facilities and three meals a day. About one-third of our residents also participate in our Day by Day Recovery Program.

Scattered-Site Permanent Supportive Housing
House of Charity is proud to partner with Hennepin County to combat homelessness through participation in the Housing First Program.

Weekly visits from our case managers, or housing advocates, promote client stability. The advocates assist clients in maintaining their housing and accomplishing other goals including education, job training, volunteering, and family reunification.

Other clients may move to sober houses, long-term care facilities, private apartments, or other housing depending on their life situation.
