Yes I have visited Grace Resource Center before when I attended the Power Class with Pastor Bill Rourke and I have Volunteered on Wednesdays when the Spanish speaking volunteers were needed. The power class played a very important role in changing my life because I was homeless and addicted to drugs and spoke at the power class graduation several years after I graduated. Also being of service to others helps me share may love and testimony with other people.

Description: provides safe, 24-hour access to shelter for unhoused adults in San Francisco. Next Door Shelter has 334 beds with separate sections for men and women. Residents receive two meals daily. They can also access case management and mental health services through ECS's San Francisco Shelter Treatment Access and Resources Team (SF START). Next Door includes beds reserved for veterans and persons awaiting admission to community based treatment programs. Many of those who stay at Next Door are addressing substance abuse problems, and some are coping with mental health issues and chronic medical conditions. Despite challenges, many shelter residents are able to move into housing as affordable units or other options such as residential treatment become available.
