The Neon Street Programs provide a drop-in center and a 12-bed transitional housing program for homeless youth ages 18-21. Services provided include laundry and shower facilities, meals and snacks, counseling, referral for medical services, assistance with employment, and transportation. This is an independence-focused program that will guide youth toward independent living. Youth may stay in the transitional housing program for up to two years or untl the
ir 21st birthday.
Services Offered: Counseling and case management
Transitional housing
Drop-in services, including laundry and shower facilities, meals and snacks, transportation to and from work, appointments, and job search
Assistance with employment

Eligibility Criteria: Must meet homeless eligibility criteria For the transitional housing program, youth must be between the ages of 18-21 For drop-in services, youth must be between the ages of 14-21

Fees: FREE

Applying for Services: Contact the program to apply for services.

Referral and Intake: Must show proof of age
Must complete a tuberculosis screening

Uptown neighborhood. Corner of Sunnyside and Sheridan
Two blocks east of the Wilson CTA Red Line stop.
Hours: Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Languages: With advanced notice, Heartland Alliance services can be provided in more than 35 different languages.

Appointments: This program takes appointments.

Walk-ins welcome Monday through Friday 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Walk In Accepted: This program accepts walk-ins.
