Covenant House Missouri - Saint Louis

Address
2727 North Kingshighway Blvd
Saint Louis, MS - 63113

Covenant House Missouri (CHMO) empowers homeless, runaway and at-risk youth to live independently and become contributing members of the community. With open doors and open hearts, more than 6,400 young people (16 - 21 years of age) in the St. Louis metropolitan area are provided programs and resources every year. As one of the leading St. Louis nonprofits servicing youth, CHMO is dedicated to providing hope, enrichment and a positive direction to all youth in need. This all-encompassing approach is housed within the CHMO’s Center for Youth, a welcoming, bright environment with dorm-like floors and classrooms.

In addition to emergency shelter services, the Center for Youth provides educational resources, job skill development, personal counseling and numerous life skill classes.

There is also an extensive transitional living program where youth can live in the facility for up to two years. Moreover, youth with mental health issues who have left the CHMO program (for up to six months) are personally called by After-care Program staff to ensure stability and if essential needs are being met. Outside of the Center for Youth, CHMO staff bring awareness of youth homelessness and services to schools (safe outreach) and on poverty stricken streets (street outreach). The outreach team continuously educates the public and directly assists youth in crisis with resources and immediate supplies like food and clothing.
