We provide emergency shelter, addiction recovery and 3 meals every day free of charge to anyone,not just those who are staying with us.
Men's Crisis Center The Men's Crisis Center offers short-term housing for up to 130 homeless men and is located at 715 West State Street, and the entrance is located on the east side of the building off Rockton Avenue. The Center provides safe shelter, food and clothing, as well as case management, community resources and medical services. Check-in is immediately following dinner at 7 p.m.
Women's Crisis Center The Women's Crisis Center allows the Mission to offer short-term housing for up to 48 homeless women and mothers with children and is located at 809 Cedar Street. The Center provides safe shelter, food and clothing, as well as case management, life-skills training, community resources and medical services. We help coordinate services for children, including public schooling and emergency daycare. Breakfast and lunch is available at the Mission's main facility, Hope Place, but dinner is provided at the Women's Crisis Center each evening. Check-in is at 6 p.m., and dinner is served at 7 p.m.

Donations Needed: Thanks to the generosity of our donors, quality clothing, household and gift items are provided at discount prices through our resale store. Our Thrift Store provides operating income for Mission programs. It also provides training opportunities for Mission residents. The Mission\'s Thrift Store is open to the public.
Store hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 9 to 5.
Items may be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, at the Thrift Store, 2710 20th St. We offer a convenient drive-through drop-off for donations.

Small appliances
Large appliances – if working and in sell-able condition
We cannot accept:
Hazardous materials
Used mattresses
Non-working large appliances
Cribs, car seats and other items that hold infants and toddlers
Consumer electronics such as TVs and computers. Volunteers Needed: At Rockford Rescue Mission, we feel we have the best volunteers in the world. Whether it is serving a meal, tutoring in our education center, serving coffee at the cafe, or mentoring a recovering man or woman, you can make a difference. Definitely provided the help i needed when i was struggling...very thankfull for them being there. but sleeping area is awful and needs cleaning...just sayin...and the crisis manager (black guy with bald head) yelled at me then said it was disrespectful when i politely asked him to stop yelling cuz ive had a terrible day as it is.....love you guys tho....
