City of Refuge Hot Meals and Pantry

HOT MEAL PROGRAM
In conjunction with the City of Refuge Educations Kid City and C.O.R.E. Camp programs, hot meals are provided to students and their families. Volunteer teams from local churches, businesses and organizations provide and prepare all components of each meal served.
FOOD PANTRY
Two days a week, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00-1:00, qualifying people can receive food from the food pantry. Recipients are at or below the state poverty level or have experienced a recent emergency such as loss of home or job. Most of the food is acquired through local food drives from churches, businesses, schools and individuals.
CLOTHING CLOSET
People who bring a referral from area schools, churches or other local agencies are eligible to shop in the clothing closet. Each shopper can choose three outfits per person on the referral form. All clothing is received by donation and is freely given to recipients.
