Food Baskets are offered to those that adhere to the Federal Poverty Guidelines set forth by the USDA.
These baskets include nutritious food products such as meat, vegetables, fruits and other products to assist in promoting family health and are culturally sensitive by offering beans and rice to our Hispanic or Haitian families.
They help many families but the need grows daily.
Haven of Hope Ministries has had to make a change in their distribution policies; at this time we are only distributing food baskets to individuals with disabilities who fall under the U.S. poverty guidelines.
Food products appropriate for the homeless are distributed as well as bags that assist with personal hygiene products.
Blankets, pillows, and other items that assist in making life a little easier are distributed on an "as needed" basis.
They do not use outside volunteers for Thanksgiving outreach.
