Please call the office if you need to get to the shelters.
Emergency Shelter - Two homeless shelters house single men, women and families. Originally opened as short-term emergency shelters, the affordable housing shortage often means that shelter residents stay for months until they are able to find a permanent place to live.
Transitional Housing - Three apartments allow families to pay minimal rent for up to two years while they transition from homelessness back into the community.
Food Services
Food services are available to all in need within the greater Nashua area. No identification is required.
Breakfast: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM-8:00 AM
Dinner: Monday - Saturday, 4:30 PM-6:00 PM
Sunday, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
Pantry Items: Fruits, veggies and bread are available Monday through Friday, 12pm – 2:45 pm. There is a limit of two pantry visits per week. (Please do not arrive early, you will be turned away.)
Food boxes: Eggs, meat, and nonperishable items are available Monday through Friday 11am – 2:45 pm. There is a limit of one box per month. (Please do not arrive early, you will be turned away.)
Dedicated to providing shelter and food to those in need. The overall objective of the agency is to advocate, create, and operate programs and services that promote dignity and self-sufficiency for those we serve. To ensure that basic needs are addressed, the NSK&S is committed to joining with others in a community-wide ethic of caring.

Many of these shelters now have waiting lists. Please call before going to them. Many waiting lists are very long. Shelters and service also go out of business.
