Description: The Friendly House Shelter & Scattered Sites Program is a temporary emergency shelter program providing short-term housing, extensive housing search and services to help families to become self-sufficient. We serve families with children and expectant parents who are homeless. Most of the families we serve are supported with funding from the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) and families must be referred directly by them. We also have rooms for homeless families in the community who do not meet the eligibility criteria of the DHCD.
Our program offers many services that will assist families in achieving their goal of being self-sufficient.
