Hilda's Place give you clothing sandwiches, can even take a shower but I've discovered that Hilda's place discriminates against older women who require their services. I have attempted to speak to my case manager for over two weeks, waited from 1:45p.m. to closing which is 4p.m. and still have not seen my case manager or the nurse. I feel this is wrong because they ask what services you are there for; only to be told they are so busy there's no guarantee you will see a case manager! Why not say that before entering false documentation in the computer? Another thing is those who are seeking employment, sleeping in cold wet places can not get help or assistance with Pace Bus Cards to go on interviews, or pusses on certain days to help look for employment. They sign you up for services that you are not getting! Hilda's Place House men who are mainly addicts, or bi-sexual and women like myself are left to fend for themselves. The ones who do not want to work or are getting checks are the ones who get the attention, bus cards and assistance which is wrong and discriminatory on the behalf oh Connection and Hilda's Place. Those seeking to improve themselves, by looking and applying for work are the ones whom should be attended to just as those who are not looking for anything except a free ride in life! Practicing age or sex discrimination protected by law experiencing it on a daily basis really infuriates me.
