Description: Homeless Assistance

If you’re homeless, we want to help you get back up on your feet. Our Homeless Assistance includes:

    Project Independence
    Referrals to neighboring shelters
    Homeless Progress

    Referral and contact information for HUD homeless programs that serve Randolph County residents

For immediate homeless assistance and a shelter list, call 336-625-1500.


Client Services Hours

Monday – Tuesday: 10 AM – 3 PM
Thursday: 12 PM – 6 PM Friday: 10 AM – 2 PM

Currently we have no lobby hours, we are are serving through the drive thru pantry ONLY


Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry is here to serve your needs as much as possible. We offer:

    Fresh Food
    Nonperishable Items
    Remote Distribution

    Client Choice
    TEFAP
    Some Non-Food Items

The CUOC Food Pantry helps all those in need no matter where they live. However, clients who live outside of Randolph County will be referred to pantries in their county for future assistance. If you have a community food pantry where you life, you may be encouraged to apply there for extended needs.
Financial Assistance

At CUOC, we’re happy to offer whatever financial assistance we can. Our assistance includes:

    Clothing
    Household Items
    Other Basic Needs

    Gas Vouchers for Work and Medical Emergencies
    Utilities
    Rent

Medical Assistance

If you find yourself in a financial crisis and need medical assistance, we’re here for you. We offer:

    Assistance with emergency prescriptions
    Medical equipment lending
    RX programs, which provide assistance to individuals with no insurance.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

At CUOC, we believe in our community uniting to help each other out. Our Neighbors Helping Neighbors program offers:

    Minor home repairs
    Some dental
    Needs requiring volunteer labor

Many of these shelters now have waiting lists. Please call before going to them. Many waiting lists are very long. Shelters and service also go out of business. Always call ahead to confirm that this location is still active. If you find that this location is no longer operating, please send us a comment using the form below.
