Food for the Soul is a 24/7 emergency shelter for men, women, and children. Shelter guests must provide proof of residency of Kershaw County in order to utilize overnight services. Services include meals, showers, financial stability, and job readiness classes.

Volunteers Requests by Food for the Soul KC: Volunteers are accepted for our soup kitchen services.

Donation Requests by Food for the Soul KC: food items such as canned and nonperishables, hygiene products, toilet paper, paper towels, deodorant and cleaning supplies

Many of these shelters now have waiting lists. Please call before going to them. Many waiting lists are very long. Shelters and service also go out of business.
