    The caseworker are horrible and rude. They lie have false information, they seem as though they don't want or like their jobs. They don't help they put up roadblocks just to mean

Description: Serves as the intake center for the majority of emergency shelters and housing for homeless families in the District of Columbia. Families seeking emergency assistance and housing are screened to determine if they are eligible for temporary emergency housing. Other services provided at the site include employment placement assistance for TANF recipients.

8:00 am - 4:45 pm, Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday (Client Intake Hours)

Many of these shelters now have waiting lists. Please call before going to them. Many waiting lists are very long. Shelters and service also go out of business.
