I have never been homeless and this has been my first experience. It was that absolutely worst experience of my entire life. I believe that this organization was started with love by Pastor Davis (the mother) but since she's in heaven nobody cares. They show NO real concern for the residents. 'Name Withheld' is a control freak that has a position that he doesn't deserve. He DOES NOT care about the residents! And I believe the biggest part of that comes from the fact that he "forgets where he's comes from".

Description: Shelter
The emergency shelter can house up to 8 single men and 3 single women temporarily to allow our clients to seek employment, housing, social services so as to better their lives.
When the county declares a state of emergency such as "extreme weather condition" (code blue), the shelter provides bedding space in the dining room and church sanctuary. Many winter days, we allow our clients to remain at the shelter even though "an emergency" has not been called by the county.

The Extended Hand Ministries, Inc. Shelter was founded in 2001 in response to growing numbers of homeless persons and families in Burlington County and the need for a more comprehensive approach to serving them. At that time The Extended Hand Ministries, Inc. introduced a major innovation in the social service field. Instead of remaining in emergency shelters or transitional housing for extended periods, homeless families should be relocated into permanent, affordable housing as quickly as possible. The Extended Hand Ministries, Inc. provides case management services for up to one full year, to help people transition to stability. The Extended Hand Ministries, Inc. has been providing 24 hours and 7 days a week shelter and assistance to the homeless. At this time we are accepting homeless veterans only.
