Description: The Community Foodbank Distributes Over 33 Million Pounds Of Food And Other Groceries In 18 New Jersey Counties, Serving Over 1,500 Charitable Organizations Where Hungry People Turn For Help: Food Pantries, Shelters For The Homeless, Soup Kitchens, Child Care Centers, Battered Women'S Shelters And Senior Programs. In Addition To Food Distribution, The Foodbank Offers A Job Training Program In Which Unemployed Or Underemployed Individuals Receive The Skills They Need For Jobs In The Food-Service Industry. Our Kid'S Division Directly Addresses Children In Need Through It'S Kids Closet, Kids Cafe, Tools4schools Resource Center And Backpack Programs. Volunteers Are An Essential Part Of Keeping Our Costs To A Minimum. In 2009, We Had Over 23,000 Volunteer Visits.
