James Mott Community Assistance Program (JMCAP) is a 501(c)(3) community based non-profit, partnership with Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development and SkillSource offering services to Fairfax County residents and families to achieve a self-sufficient lifestyle.

JMCAP has been providing services to families to positively impact the entire community for over 30 years. All programs are free to qualified persons.

What Areas We Serve:
JMCAP serves individuals and families primarily in western Fairfax County, Region 4 Human Services and the JMCAP Conservation District-Area 3:
In-area 22015 & 22039 Out-of-area 22015, 22030, 22031, 20120, 20121 & 20151

Our client population include:

Single head of households
The unemployed
The underemployed
Persons with mental/physical disabilities
Seasonal workers
The indigent
1,974 clients and 643 households received food bags once a week for 52 weeks
184 clients from were transported for grocery shopping, medical appointments and other necessary appointments
195 families received direct assistance toward payment of rent and utilities

Many people are disabled, homeless, need training or just someone to offer some help.
