Comment 1. - User Carriage town prison inmate states - The women who live there are treated like prisoners. The staff have no respect for the people they serve and women and children are put out into the streets for the littleless thing. The people who live there are under stress every day because it is held over their head they are constantly reminded they will be put out. A miniute late for breakfast is an infraction. Children are not allowed to eat breakfast because the mother didn't hear the wake-up call from a need be fixed monitor. No privacy all conversations are on speaker for staff to hear. There are many donations but the clients don't get them because the staff gets their share first. Sometimes the clients can't get enough of certian foods and when they ask, the staff say It's not enough. Then staff reminds them they can donate food. When they do donate it takes days to receive the food. My question is why people don't investigate these places how come they are allowed to treat and control this way. I'm sure miss Johson, Jamie Holt and who ever else works there thats in charge put on a very good front for you and are on their best behavior. But their hearts are far from God's people. Even the staff is affraid of being fired. I remember years ago when my pastors wife worked for Carriage Town Shelter then you new it was no question that the people cared about you and enjoyed their work. No big I's and little you's. They genuinely cared. They didn't walk through the place, head in the air not speaking to anyone. The social workers there do not share community information with their client the way they can to help them. Those are my comments. please, address them, Please do something. So many are put in the street for no reason. Ask any one who has lived there what the shelters nick name is. It's Carraige Town Prison. I remember being woke up in the middle of the night ligt turned on staff hollering my name waring gloves telling me to get up. She came in searching the room for a cellular phone and I didn't even own one. Never appolegized or anything when I told her I didn't own one she just walked out. It was 5:00am
