Family Promise of Montgomery Services - Montgomery, AL

Family Promise is a nationwide program sponsored by local churches dedicated to helping homeless families. This is an interfaith hospitality network, providing emergency shelter to homeless families. Must be mother and father with child(ren) or mother with child(ren), father with child(ren), or grandmother with child(ren) and child(ren) must be under the age of 18.

Eligibility: Homeless Families only without a substance abuse issue, a domestic violence issue, or a mental illness. They must pass a drug test. Must be mother and father with child(ren) or mother with child(ren), father with child(ren), or grandmother with child(ren) and child(ren) must be under the age of 18.

Hours: 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Mon-Fri

Initial intake over phone, then an in-person interview is scheduled. Must pass a drug test.

    Many years ago I had no place to stay. With help from Lazarus House I was able to get back on my feet again. I delivered holiday meals for a few years after my stay there. I now have some time to volunteer again or hopefully find employment with Lazarus House. I'm attending NECC majoring in Human Services.
