Volunteers of America Family Shelter

Address
320 Chenango St.
Binghamton, NY - 13901

Emergency Housing Homeless Shelter for men, women and children. Provides housing options for individuals and families in need. Emergency and crisis housing available.

Volunteers of America provides the only shelter in Binghamton that allows men and women with children to stay together during their housing crisis. Other shelters only serve men or women with children. Single fathers are separated from their children and women are separated from their teenage sons. In Maud’s Guest House, named to honor VOA founder, Maud Ballington Booth, there are seven units that provide temporary shelter to homeless families. VOA staff help families obtain the necessary resources and access permanent housing while addressing the challenges that led to their housing crisis. Volunteers of America serves nearly 100 families every year in Binghamton.
