  1. I was only there for about three weeks at the beginning of my sobriety.. but with all the love, nourishment and just blessings that was offered up I looked forward to going home every night .. yes I called it home... we all had different backgrounds... but we all bonded under one roof every night... the whole BARB Had brought in was literally heaven sent... DONATE... help out a truly worthy cause.. changed my life forever ... don't forget BARB.. If it was not for this place I would have surely failed at sobriety and honestly would not be here to speak the TRUTH about this unreal place... thanks BARB and all the staff... and I did not forget about the two security guards.. special thanks to them.

The project is a disgrace. All they are doing is bringing in homeless people to harass the good people of Olathe and the surrounding areas. They need to seriously reconsider what they're doing. I cannot go to the Olathe public library anymore without having a homeless person come up to me, begging for money, and continue following me. There are clearly more crackheads on the streets compared to recent years judging by the holes some of these people have picked in their arms. This project is the reason for this. When does the cycle end? They continue shipping homeless people here and assume they are going to change when in reality they continue to be beggars. The project is extremely flawed and the originators of the project seem to have no idea what they're doing. Ignorance to this matter isn't something to take lightly. The police have been called more often since the shelter has came around the area and trespassing has become a major issue. What is next? Burglary? Arson? Battery/assault? Murder/attempted murder? Nobody knows. All I know is we are on a slippery slope.
