Housing & Utilities Assistance Program
The Housing & Utilities Assistance Program provides services to prevent homelessness and forestall eviction, allowing families to remain in their homes. Clients are assisted with partial rental assistance or utility assistance. Budget counseling workshops are a mandatory component of the program.

Clients must make an appointment! Call 636-1916 to schedule an appointment. This program meets the emergency needs of a client. A client can only seek either rent or utility assistance once a year.
Live in one of ESM's service area zip codes: 80903, 80905, 80906, 80907, 80909, 80910, 80916, or 80926. Residents of other zip codes may be referred to other agencies.
Have lived in apartment for 2 months or longer.
Must have verifiable proof of income.
A copy of the signed lease.
A three-day demand notice from the landlord.
Photo ID
Social security card for every person in the household.
Budget counseling workshop is mandatory prior to receive assistance.

ESM provides a collaborative Christian response to low-income and homeless people in crisis through a variety of services:
        Direct Services: clothing, prescription medications, personal hygiene items and transportation
        Rental Program: partial rent assistance
        Utilities Program: partial utility assistance
        Jobs Program: job skills assessment, resume assistance, referrals, classes, tools, uniforms, home health care certification classes
        Food Pantry: emergency food, commodities and holiday food baskets
