SHELTER, Inc. is working to keep participants, visitors, volunteers, and staff safe from the coronavirus (COVID-19). As an essential service in our community, we continue to serve those most vulnerable. We are continuing our services by working remotely, and our shelters are open and operating under strict precautions to minimize any community spread.

HOUSING ASSISTANCE
Contra Costa County
We offer temporary and permanent housing opportunities to homeless and low-income families and individuals. If you are receiving services from a county or nonprofit agency, please contact your caseworker for a referral to one of SHELTER, Inc.'s programs.

Permanent Affordable Housing
We offer permanent supportive housing services for the following homeless residents:
Individuals and families who have a dual diagnosis of mental health and chronic substance abuse
Individuals and families with HIVAIDS
Individuals with chronic substance abuse problems
We do not maintain a waiting list. Please call (925) 338-1038 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday - Friday (except holidays) for availability.
Some of our programs are funded in part by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development.
