Family Shelter Program
Our 55 bed Family Shelter provides short-term emergency housing and supportive services to 13 homeless families for up to 30 days. Support services help people come to terms with the reasons behind their homelessness, obtain resources, secure permanent housing, and develop plans that will help them maintain housing. This is one of only two shelters in Sacramento County that accepts two parent families, single fathers, and sons over the age of 14.

Women's Refuge Program
Co-located at the Family Shelter site, the Wome's Refuge provides emergency housing, food, and support services for 10 single women experiencing homelessness for up to 30 days. Participants receive basic living supplies and a variety of counseling and life skills services aimed at helping women stabilize their lives.

Transitional Housing
Wilma's Place
Wilma's Place provides services for 6 single women, in transitional housing for up to four (4) months. Women may apply after completing 14 days at the Women's Refuge. Participants receive life coaching and a success plan to enable women to acquire the skills necessary to obtain and maintain independent living.

Housing Relocation and Aftercare Program
The Housing Relocation and Aftercare Program provides housing services to program participants who are transitioning from shelter and transitional programs, and to other people in need in the Sacramento community.

Transitional Housing Program for Families (THPF)
In collaboration with Lutheran Social Services (LSS), the THPF program provides services for 11 homeless families facing barriers to self-sufficiency, and transitional housing for up to 24 months. THPF offers a stable, safe, supportive environment where families can begin to reclaim their lives.

Permanent Housing
 
Casas de Esperanza
In 2010, Next Move acquired 18 units of permanent supportive housing that serves 18 disabled chronically homeless men and women. The program provides housing and comprehensive and continuous case management services, assessments and referrals to other services based on participants needs.
Friendship Housing
The Friendship Housing program was the model for Self-Help Housing. It continues to serve 2 families in subsidized, permanent housing.
Home at Last
In 2013, Next Move started Sacramento County's first HUD program to address the needs of chronically homeless seniors with 22 units of permanent supportive housing serving 22 chronically homeless men and women.  The program provides comprehensive, continuous and coordinated supportive services to each participant and assistance with employment through AARP.
Omega Project
Next Move collaborated with Volunteers of America (VOA) to develop the Omega Project which provides permanent housing and continued supportive services to 15 singles and 22 families who have multiple and severe disabilities. This program provides permanent housing with continued case management, housing, mental health and youth development services.
