The staff has no control of the facility, yes it's a homeless shelter but they have bathroom and still let people use the bathroom on the side walk outside . The place is supposed to be to help people who want to help themselves however the staff is untrained to deal with situations other than going to get stuff from behind a locked door . I was in the facility for two weeks... I had to have an ambulance called, got called racial slurs (doc by staff) I was refused police assistance as my verbal attacker was hovering over my ... Staff said I "wasn't scared ..."I'm a big scary black guy" .... Then they kicked me out ...someone who really needed and was taking advantage or programs at the facility saying that I am intimidating.... Never had a w/u but staff is uncomfortable ? The same staff that call me names to my face and tounted me about how they had a place to stay... Top it all off the write the wrong date on my paper work for the appeal hearing .. I wanted to voice my opinion to help thm get better...I would never go back k to that place e after being treated the was I was ....I have a fire lite under me to see this situation to justice so that they don't do this to someone else less fortunate than I.... If you need a shelter unfortunately begers can't be choosers but nobody with a choice would go near that filthy place or near most of the staff ....They should be ashamed of themselves
