The Chattanooga Area Food Bank, Founded In 1982, Grew From A Grass Roots Organization Of Local Civic Leaders Seeing That Hunger Was An Issue Not Being Addressed. The Food Bank'S Mission Is To Gather And Share Grocery Product With Our Neighbors In Need. The Food Bank Has Grown Significantly Since Its Beginnings - Distributing 8.8 Million Pounds Of Food In 2007. Cafb Serves Approximately 14,000 Indiviuals Each Week In Southeast Tennessee And Northwest Georgia
