Programs:

BackPack Program
The BackPack Program provides children who may be at risk of not having enough food over the weekend with “BackPacks,” or food bags on Fridays. Each pack contains 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, 2 shelf stable milks, 2 100% juice boxes, 4 fruit items, and 2 snacks – food to get the student through the weekends until returning to school on Mondays. These BackPacks are provided at no cost to the students.  This program is offered to children in grades K-12 and approved for the FREE School Lunch Program. Contact Tri-State Food Bank's Child Hunger and Outreach Program Coordinator at 812-425-0775 ext. 308 to see if the BackPack Program is available in your area.

Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) - Senior Meal Program
Seniors are often forced to choose between paying rent, utilities, medical bills, and buying food. Eligible seniors have access to this senior meal program that offers a monthly box of non-perishable food items to those that qualify (seniors must be 60 years or over and meet income and other eligibility guidelines). Contact Tri-State Food Bank's Child Hunger and Outreach Program Coordinator at 812-425-0775 ext. 308 to see if the CSFP Program is available in your area.

Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)
Children have access to a nutritious breakfast and lunch at school during the academic year. Many families face hardship during the summer months as children are relying on more meals to come from home. Contact Tri-State Food Bank's Child Hunger and Outreach Program Coordinator at 812-425-0775 ext. 308 to learn about Summer Feeding options in your area.
