Is your family in need of food assistance?  Our friendly staff at Madera County Food Bank would be happy to connect you with food programs that can assist you.  The Food Banks Bilingual staff can help you.

The emergency food program has been helping families in need of emergency food for many years. This program is intended to help those families who are in need of emergency food. Each month the Madera County Food Bank assists approximately 1,800 persons.

A family who is in need of emergency food can call our Food Assistance number and our friendly staff can take their name and information and get them connected with emergency food once a month. Items needed are a photo id card and a proof of address. The Maximum income varies from family to family, depending on the family size.

The emergency food that the Madera County Food Bank assists clients with is also known as an emergency food box. Each emergency food box consists of:

Protein
Vegetable
Grain
Iron
Starch
Fruit

(Some times there will be extra items that come along with the emergency food depending on our donation status)
