Housing initiatives through Northern Tier Community Action Corporation provide assistance to families facing imminent loss of their existing housing or are currently homeless.

The Homeowners' Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (HEMAP) provides an opportunity for qualified homeowners to apply for a loan to help bring their mortgage current and avoid foreclosure.

The Homeless Assistance Program (HAP) funded through the Department of Public Welfare (DPW) to Cameron County, may assist qualified individuals and families in Cameron County with case management, rental and or utility assistance.

The Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) may provide financial assistance in the form of first month, past due and damage deposit rental assistance to eligible individuals or families in Cameron and Elk counties.

The Potter County Homeless Prevention Program (PCHPP) may provide case management with financial assistance for qualified low-income families affected by the reduction of available rentals and increased rental costs impacted by the Marcellus drilling in Potter County.
