Description: OPCC's Safe Haven is an interim housing and day program that serves chronically homeless individuals who have had a history of challenges connecting with service providers. Safe Haven is based on an understanding that the mental health and addiction disorders of this population are lifelong. This program employs high tolerance for relapses as part of recovery and emphasizes the building of trusting relationships with staff and other clients.

Many of the individuals at Safe Haven have been living on the streets for years. To help acclimate chronically homeless individuals to living indoors, the Cloverfield Center includes a large outdoor courtyard area, where people can feel safe and protected while still being outside.
