Description: Shelter and supportive housing for women only.
Safe Haven
Dolores's Safe Haven provides a safe and supportive environment for fifteen women with severe mental illness who have been chronically homeless. These women are considered the hardest to house. Staff reach out and engage women to offer services that result in stable housing and increased quality of life.
Permanent Housing
Deborah's Place offers permanent supportive housing for women in all three of our locations. In addition, more than 50 units of scattered-site housing throughout Chicago offer safety and independence for women. Each of our residents receives personalized support from a case manager, as well as access to Learning Centers, health services, and employment assistance.
All three permanent housing programs are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Interim Housing
Teresa's Interim Housing is a ten-bed, 120-day interim housing program providing a safe, structured community. Women and staff work together to meet goals such as stable housing, employment, family reunification, and improved health.
