We are be able to host up to fifty guests and have separate spaces for men and women as well as the ability to host families together. 

The new facility provides enough space for our administrative offices as well as our guest and food pantry which brings us closer together and gives the opportunity to better communicate and interact with our
guests.

Over the past few months the facility, a former dairy plant, has been revitalized thanks to the volunteers of the local high schools and Highlands University as well as other community members to become a comfortable respite for our guests. These improvements have included structural renovations and optical additions to provide a more cozy and friendly
area. We mainly want our guests to be able to relax in a safe and warm environment and have a meal and a conversation. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, students from the United World College come as volunteers to do exactly that, having conversations and helping within the shelter. We are happy that we can provide a larger, more comfortable
space with more services and we are also more central than before.

In addition, we receive assistance from the college students of Highlands University, therefore we have a lot of international students coming and helping to improve the space we have. In the beginning of the new year, the students will begin painting a mural in the main area where our guests eat, socialize or watch TV. If needed we provide sleeping space for which students from UWC can stay overnight to better interact with guests.
