Description: The Lord's Place is a nonprofit, non-sectarian, 501(c)3 organization that has been changing the lives of homeless families and individuals in Palm Beach County for over 30-years. The agency is committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness with programs and services that include:
Engagement - The Engagement Center at The Lord's Place has become the recognized point-of-entry facility for the homeless in our community. Homeless men, women and families have learned that it is not only the starting point for behavioral change, but is also an important connector to local homeless resources. The Engagement Center requires nothing more than passage through the front door. The program focuses on activities which build trusting relationships and encourage participants to explore making behavioral change. In addition to purposeful activities, the center provides hot meals, peer mentoring, a resource center, and referrals for housing and support services. Within three years, the Engagement Center has proved itself to be a critical component in Palm Beach County's fight to end homelessness. It provides a solution to the County's need for a single point-of-entry facility that allows individuals and families to begin their journey out of homelessness.
Emergency Housing - The Lord's Place Emergency Housing Programs operate from two different campuses. Homeless families receive emergency shelter at the Family Campus in West Palm Beach; homeless men receive emergency shelter at our Men's Campus in Boynton Beach. These programs provide housing and counseling to 14 families and 31 men.
Supportive Housing for families and individuals.
