Description: Provides emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children, 24 hour crisis intervention and hotline counseling, legal information and advocacy, public awareness and community education, support groups for battered women in two locations throughout the county.

Hotline: 24 hours, 7 days Outreach: Mon - Fri 9:00am - 4:00pm

Volunteers Requests by Women Aware - Domestic Violence Shelter: Adult volunteers are always needed, but by law they must complete a 40 hour training.

Donation Requests by Women Aware - Domestic Violence Shelter: Accepts prepaid phone cards and grocery store gift certificates for clients.

Many of these shelters now have waiting lists. Please call before going to them. Many waiting lists are very long. Shelters and service also go out of business.
