Bon Secours Women's Resources And Day Shelter

Offers a variety of services for women, including hospitality services (laundry, meals, showers), a job skills bank, domestic violence counseling and support groups. They assist women with children and single women. They will also assist married women as long as their name is on an eviction notice.
SERVICES:
1) DAY-TIME DROP-IN CENTER: Shower facilities, washers & dryers and telephones are available for use.
2) FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Only accept 5 applications per month. Limited eviction prevention assistance offers up to the last $200 (bring eviction notice, photo ID, SS card, proof of income, and lease information), information and referral, supportive housing, and other services. Assists all of MD. Will assist single women and women with children. Will assist those in section 8/public housing. Monies available at the beginning of each month. Can be utilized once per year (12 month period).
3) PARENTING & ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASSES: Offered the 1st & 2nd Thurs, 2PM.
4) CASE MANAGEMENT: Provides information and referral services, case management, a resource library and health-related workshops, as well as spiritual support and guidance.
Call for information, or walk-in. Registration required for parenting classes.
Eligibility Women ages 18 and older.

The Womens Resource Center is a daytime drop-in center where women who are struggling with a range of life challenges, including substance abuse, domestic violence, homelessness, anger, depression and other mental health issues can find relief and help. The Center provides social and education services and connects them to essential health services. Women are provided a place to shower, wash their clothes, rest and have a hot breakfast.
