LARS serves homeless and low-income families and individuals in Laurel, Maryland. Our service area includes parts of Prince George's (zip codes 20707 and 20708), Howard (20723), and Anne Arundel (20724) Counties. Services including: short-term financial assistance to prevent evictions and utility stoppage; assistance with security deposits and first month’s rent; vouchers for eyeglasses, hearing aids, clothing and furniture; referrals for shelter; and a food pantry which can be utilized by clients. LARS can assist homeless clients with obtaining ID cards and birth certificates, prescriptions and other minor health expenses, drug treatment referrals , and mental health needs.

Donation Requests by Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services: Food such as Whole Grain Cereals, Pancake Mix, Instant Oatmeal, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Brown Rice, Canned Vegetable Goods, Whole Grain Spaghetti, Macaroni and Cheese, Canned Meats and Tuna, Canned Fruits, Applesauce, Shelf Stable Milk, 100% Fruit Juices. Baby Food & Items such as Canned Milk, Diapers, Fruit and Vegetables, New Bottles, New Bottle Nipples, Hygienic Products such as Toothpaste, Tooth Brushes, Liquid body wash Soap, Shampoo and Conditioner, Floss, Deodorant Man and Women.     I have visit when I needed help and they were great. I have beenbless to have a Women Ministry and I was wondering if I could dondonate food and pass out my church flyers to see if any of the ladies would be interest to come to a Womens Ministry.
