Description: Open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, the Modesto Gospel Mission is committed to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ while meeting the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of every person who comes to the Mission for help.

Breakfast is served at 6:20am, and attendees must arrive before this time in order to be served. Doors open at 6pm for dinner service check-in and close at 7pm. Lunch is provided exclusively to New Life Program members, females sheltering at the Mission, and Day Program attendees (must arrive before 12pm to be served).

Men (18 years old minimum):
- Sign-up 6:30pm nightly
- Call for space availability
Mothers with Children:
- Call for space availability
Fathers with Children:
- Call for space availability

Best times to call shelter
8:15am and 6:15pm are ideal times for women to call about sheltering with us. 6pm is check-in for men, and space is typically available.

Community Distribution Center (CDC)
Free Clothing 8:00am to 9:00am
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday

Chapel Service
7:00-8:00pm nightly

New Life Program
Residential on-site program for those who need specialized help to return to societal living including Physical, Spiritual, Emotional, Social, Educational, Vocational, Employment, and Financial programs designed to help them break the cycle of homelessness and despair.

12 Step A Spiritual Journey
Weekly support group for addictive behavior.

Independent Study High School (Adult)

Various daily and weekly classes - Call for details Medical Programs
Call for various times.

Are animals allowed?
The Mission only allows service/companion animals with proper certification/paperwork.

Many of these shelters now have waiting lists. Please call before going to them. Many waiting lists are very long. Shelters and service also go out of business.
