Our pantry is a client-choice model, where volunteers assist client families to select groceries, defined as supplemental groceries (approximately a 3-day supply). Emergency food for persons who are experiencing homelessness is also available.

Food distribution hours, effective March 2018: Mon. 9 am - 12 noon. Tues. 3 pm - 7.30 pm. Wed. 7 am - 12 noon. Thurs. 3 pm - 7.30 pm. Fri. 9 am - 12 noon.

Food donations are accepted during office hours, weekdays 9am - 5pm; call 703.768.7016 and ask for Food Pantry Manager if you have a large donation and need to arrange for a special time to bring your delivery.

Volunteers Requests by United Community Food Pantry (formerly United Community Ministries): Yes, volunteers to help serve clients and to organize the food pantry are expecially needed on weekdays. Please visit our website and click on "Volunteers." Or send an email to volunteer@ucmagency.org.

Donation Requests by United Community Food Pantry (formerly United Community Ministries): We appreciate heart-healthy food donations, especially canned tuna and other meats; low-sugar breakfast cereals; low-sodium canned goods, especially vegetables (corn) and fruit. We do have freezers and cold storage, and do accept donations of eggs and other dairy, fresh produce, etc.
