The Salvation Army offers our community's only single women's shelter. Single Women's shelter provides temporary nighttime only shelter to single homeless women (age 18 or older). The facility may accommodate up to 30 women per night. Cold weather exceptions apply (please see below). An individual's stay is limited to 30 nights, but extensions up to 60 nights may be granted to women working with a case manager to secure housing. In addition to shelter and case management, women are provided meals, shower/laundry facilities and skill-building workshops.

Women in need may arrive at The Salvation Army at 5:00 pm. If need exceeds capacity, a lottery system will be activated. All women will be issued a ticket with a number; and corresponding numbered tickets will be drawn from a hat. Ladies whose number is chosen will be guaranteed a bed for the evening.

On nights of extreme weather conditions or cold (i.e. 20 degrees or colder), all single women in need are welcome to use shelter despite usual capacity or shelter night limits. Space may be crowded, but The Salvation Army of Dane County will not deny shelter to any single woman in need. Please note: Behavioral issues and rule violations may result in suspension of shelter access even on cold weather nights.

First come first serve
Capacity 30 women. Sleep on pull outs in gym
Shelter Office is open from 6:30pm - 5pm.
Residents must be off property from 8am - 5pm.
Shower and laundry on site.
Dinner, snack, breakfast are provided. dinner 5pm, breakfast 6:30am.
residents are allowed 30 nights shelter each year.
Please do not arrive before 5pm.

Good- morning to the wonderful staff, there, To : Case- manager Lynette Rosco, and THE Director Mrs. Melissia . I LOVE YOU. THANK YOU FOR Everything, in jesus name, I made-it, I now have my own place and working towards. employment, and a trade, to get a certificate, diploma, here at my new resident. I need to give my son . Bernard Beck, a message at the Dane- County jail, in Madison, WI, THAT , THE MAYOR OF FITCHBURG, WI, and the attorney. Jason -Gonzales, law - office called me by phone, to tell me that Bernard Beck is locked back up again, I Did put in the mail yesterday, Forty-dollars, in the mail on the way there to his office for Mrs. Taylor to put on the books for him. o.K, and I AM WITH YOU , SON AND I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH, AND I WISH WE COULD WORK-TOGETHER AND MOTHER AND SON, TO STAY OUT OF THIS MESS. AMEN. I WILL BE WORKING AND PRAYING EACH AND EVERY DAY, FOR THIS PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED, IN JESUS NAME. O.K SON .

SUBSIDIZED-S RENT. 1-BEDROOM UNIT, FOR ONLY MYSELF, ONLY, AMEN.
