Family Crisis Support Services

Family Crisis Support Services provides services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and those inundated with homelessness.

We are a dual shelter that provides a safe haven for domestic violence and sexual assault clients as well as those that are experiencing homelessness. We offer several different programs that provide advocacy, supportive counseling, financial assistance, and support groups. Family Crisis Support Services hosts events during April for sexual assault awareness month and October for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The newest program being offered by FCSS is the prevention programming in the school systems.

Camers in living quarters. They say they are a multi fictional shelter. They have homeless women mixed in with DV women and homeless men next to the women's shelter. They have a snitch that say's she is a DV victim but is not and say's they she is homeless but is not. This person was in a hotel and calling guys in alabam that according to her are her father and a judge and gives detailed info on the exact location she is at. Is always at the offices and wants to know people's bussisnes so she can go snitch at the offices. Cooling system half works along with heating. Water system makes loud noises when you turn water on. They only provide can food for you to eat no other food is supplied for you. No bleakest just thin throws for blankets. No case worker to work with you one on one to help you with housing. Told if you have no income you must look at areas that you need a vehicle to get to a job and etc.. Mist staff are very unfriendly. They take your belongs away such as pocket knife and pepper spray. Tell you if you don't hand it over they will search your person and belongings. No rules are given to you. You never see a worker unless you call offices and tell them you need to see someone or walk down and dial a number to see and speak to someone. Second referidgrater dont work. This shelter is not ran right. When you ask questions they cut you off especially if your not from the area... Bunk beds have matters that have no protection covers on them and are very worn out.
