Is this a safe shelter to stay in?

User Answers

  1. I was there in for 6 months and used to be an all men's shelter for working and non working residents. They sent me to a house built in 1901 for which I have resided since 2012. Filled roaches in bathroom, bitten up by bed begs in more than one occasion and my 8 by 8 room lacks ventilation. The shelter rushed me out of their 126th street place with no other choice available.

If you're being transferred or placed here, RUN! It's a horrible environment here. Rude and unprofessional staff, except for Ms. Scott. Also, the food is disgusting and low quality. It's brought in from outside with little care for prep and variety. And the rooms are tiny and crammed and showers and toilets are disgusting!
