The Union County Warming Station is a volunteer-run effort to preserve the life and health of those with no place to sleep during cold Union County winters. We offer safe and warm sleeping accommodations overnight during the winter months as well as food and warm drinks.

Donations Needed: we can never have enough: twin size bedding, pillows and cases, water and bug proof pillow covers, socks, underwear, winter boots, winter coats and snowsuits, sleeping bags, camping gear like tents and tarps, Coffee, to-go coffee cups, gift cards to restaurants, monetary donations, snack foods that travel well, water bottles, luggage and backpacks, garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, Clorox wipes, hand warmers, chapstick, disposable plates/cups/utensils/napkins.
We sometimes need:
razors, toiletries, towels, waterproof hats, gloves, and scarves, earplugs, nail clippers, tweezers, q-tips, plastic totes, hand sanitizer, games and art supplies, books, puzzles, magazines, first aid supplies, umbrellas, rain ponchos, pet crates and supplies, new board members Volunteers Needed: We are always looking for more volunteers. If you have stayed in this shelter, how was your stay?
I stayed at the warming station when it was behind Dutch brothers coffee and they are very nice And and willing to help. If you need warm clothes shoes just about anything they will do what they can. Never got too hungry either they keep you well fed for dinner and breakfast. Wish they'd let me sleep in a bit more but still the best place around if your in need.
As long as it is open if you check in by a certain time and were there the previous day you have a spot as long as you sign for it when you leave the next morning, but you have to be there by 6pm to keep your spot I believe
I would recommend anybody needing a place to stay here, they keep you warm, fed, and fully clothed if your short on things to wear. Felt great to know I had somewhere to stay warm and sleep for the night
