The Center of Hope: Men's Shelter and Work Program

Check in Time
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm every day.

Must have a valid government issued photo ID.

Hours of Operation
4:30 PM to 8:00 AM

Closed between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday. All residents have to be out by 8:00 AM. The Shelter reopens at 4:30 PM.

The Emergency Shelter is closed Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Emergency Shelter curfew is 4:30 PM.

Must pass a Breath-A-Lyzer test with .000.

Must pass a drug test.

Cannot have any sexual crimes or violent crimes on record.

Sat: Brunch  10:00 AM / Dinner 4:30 PM
Sun: Breakfast   7:00 AM / Lunch  12:15 PM / Dinner  4:30 PM

The Center of Hope is for those individuals who are truly sincere about turning their lives around and becoming productive members of the community. They must be motivated and capable of carrying through with the program. All residents are required to take a breathalyzer whenever they come into the building. If they cannot pass it, they are immediately terminated from the shelter. Drug tests are also required to stay at the C.O.H. If a drug test is failed, they will not be admitted to the shelter (C.O.H. has a Zero Tolerance Drug and Alcohol Policy.) All medication must be turned into the front desk at the time of admission  failing to do so could result in the resident's stay being terminated.

Clients can stay up to 5 consecutive days for free in the emergency shelter. Photo id is required to stay at The Center of Hope.

We accept single men 18 and older.

Transitional Shelter Program
The Center of Hope Work Program is about helping people overcome problems that have damaged their lives.

Education, life skills, supportive services, personal accountability and encouraging a life-transforming relationship with Christ are major aspects of this program.

PROGRAM GOALS
Upon acceptance into the initial 90-day program, a participant works with the Center of Hope Director to develop personal goals and objectives that measure his progress. These may include:

Staying clean from harmful substances.
Securing proper identification.
Finding steady employment.
Establishing a savings account.
Maintaining a personal budget.
Paying program fees on time.
Obtaining reliable transportation.
Planning for permanent housing.
Everyone is required to attend life skills classes and weekly meetings. An initial evaluation indicates whether the individual needs Adult Basic Education or GED classes.
