Camillus House

Emergency Shelter Provided. Homeless Services provided.

Serving the South Florida community since 1960, Camillus House is a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian services to men, women and children who are poor and homeless.

Camillus Housing Services addresses the most obvious aspect of homelessness. We provide individuals and families with a place to live. A range of housing options include Emergency, Transitional and Permanent housing, depending upon the stage in which each client is during their recovery from homelessness.

All housing programs are linked to Camillus' other programs so that clients receive the comprehensive health care and social services they require during their participation in the program. On an average night, some 1,000 men, women and children of South Florida will spend the night at Camillus House.

Medical Clinic

Camillus Health Concern (CHC) has been a leader in providing primary health care services to persons in Miami-Dade County who are homeless or have low income. CHC's health care providers are specially trained in meeting the unique health care and social service needs of persons who are homeless.

Substance Abuse Treatment

The Institute of Social and Personal Adjustment (ISPA) is a comprehensive program designed to treat mental illness and substance abuse as co-occurring disorders.

Hospitality Services

Hospitality Services is the oldest and probably most well known of the services offered at Camillus House. Its primary purpose is to ensure that each clients basic human needs for food, clothing, and overnight shelter are met. Since a person who is hungry, or cold, or sleeping on the street cannot begin to address the larger issues that prevent them from leading a fulfilling life, Hospitality Services focuses on providing the immediate care they need.

Awesome staff and facility! When I returned to Miami and rent prices "went through the roof" I became depressed and thought about suicide. I could not afford to pay for a place to stay. I'm grateful to the City of Miami police officers and most of all the staff at Camillus House for being there for me One Love, D Brooks

This place is a place that you can call home even without it actually being your house. You're feed three times a day seven days a week and the meals are huge. The shelters has an outdoor gym to keep you in shape and a library to keep busy. The staff are awesome. The help you receive here is life changing if you apply yourself and really want the help.
