The Shoulder Rehab For Men

Address
4901 Battleship Parkway
Spanish Fort, AL - 36577

The Shoulder is a shelter for rehab for men only.

The Shoulder follows the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and NarcoticsAnonymous for recovery from both alcohol and drug addictions. If possible, potential clients are encouraged to begin attending a Twelve Step meeting in their communityprior to entering The Shoulder.

All potential clients must have an assessment to determine appropriateness for treatment and level of care prior to placement in a program. Assessments are available to anyone in the community seeking a referral for substance abuse treatment for $50. If you or a loved one are currently incarcerated in Baldwin or Mobile counties, your attorney may contact our Intake and Compliance Specialist at 251-626-2199 to schedule an assessment and one of our masters level counselors will do the assessment at the jail.

Level III.1: Low Intensity Residential
The Low Intensity Residential program is available to men only. Treatment at The Shoulder is focused on three pillars: spirituality, the twelve steps, and recovery orientation. Clients work with their counselors to develop a treatment plan tailored to their individual needs.  The Shoulder has partnered with Equine Therapy Group to offer equine therapy for clients.  Clients are able to participate in a recreational therapy group once a month. The Shoulder requires clients to obtain and maintain full time (40 hours) employment while in the program. Fees for treatment at The Shoulder are based on a sliding fee scale based on client income. No one will ever be turned away solely on their ability to pay for treatment.

Level III.01: Transitional Residential
Upon successful completion of the Low Intensity Residential Program, it is recommended that you step-down and transition into the Transitional Program.  The Transitional Residential Program allows you more independence yet continues to provide much needed structure and support.  This transition helps you slowly integrate back into the community without being overwhelmed
