At first I had a problem with Crosswalks approach and how they run. My son broke the front window I had asked them to call the police and report him so he can be held accountable. I was told they don't want to be known as cop callers. With that being said I feel a need to set some things straight....in regards to this particular post from Awesome_ smother 6 months ago "The lady who runs it, Lynn, allows staff as well as herself play favorites. They do not abide by law and they do not call the police and have out right lied to police about whether or not kids are there. And they do allow runaways to stay there, also kids were the warrants, violent warrants included. This lace is a joke and should be shut down. Portia also follows what rules she decided she wants to follow and when." I know for a fact that the staff does do run checks and warrant checks on every kid that stays the night there. If the kid is reported as a runaway or has a warrant the police do come and get the kiddo. I am truly grateful that this place exists and that for even just a little while I knew my son was off the streets and had a warm place to hang out.
