South Oakland Shelter (SOS) is a community of Churches and Synagogues, of every denomination, who join hands to form a protective circle around people, who have fallen on hard times, to support those individuals with love and respect and offer each of them a new beginning. SOS’s administrative/counseling office is located in Royal Oak, Michigan however clients are housed in churches and synagogues located throughout Oakland County. SOS is a ninety day drug free, alcohol free rotating shelter that focuses on helping homeless families facing dire economic times. SOS offers clients case management and counseling services as well as assistance finding employment and permanent housing. Call for more information.
