Current Comments on Tarboro Community Outreach:
Comment 1. - User John Williams states - The Tarboro Community Outreach is truly a Godsend. This organization originated, and the building was opened back in April of 1989. The twentieth anniversary was just this past April. In addition to providing men (and women) with needed shelter, T.C.O. (as it is so fondly referred to as), also has a daily soup kitchen, as well as their incredibly generous "Food Sharing" Activity once every two to three months. This Food Sharing is an absolute tremendous, non-profitable, but charitable work that the center does for the Tarboro, as well as outlying communities. People from all walks of life are welcomed to come and partake of a vast variety (produce, meats, pastries, etc.) and amount(s) (from a standard shopping basket full to an entire vehicle full) of fresh, healthy groceries. Literally, any amount that the individual or family has need of. Sister Mary Ann Czaja is the Director of the Tarboro Community Outreach, and I say this from personal experience: This "Angel From Heaven" will support and do nearly anything that she's capable of to help a man or woman who are genuinely trying to get their lives back in order. She's the "Mother Hen" at the shelter. She's a counselor, a coordinator, and an authentic friend. I've personally told her in these words: "Y'know Sister Mary, God's got a special place in His Kingdom for you and others like you. You don't have to do the things that you do to help people, but you do and it's truly a blessing. God bless you." She's helped this wretched man a number of times. If a man or woman needs help, she'll provide it. But, with that help comes her brand of counseling, which will only benefit and encourage the hearer, if they're willing to listen and accept some well-placed constructive criticism. That's all that I can really submit about the Tarboro Community Outreach and it's contributions to people. I hope that my opinion will help to shine a brighter light on what this wonderful place has done and is doing daily. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Sincerely, John Williams.
