Emergency Shelter for Women and Women with Children. Both women who are homeless and those fleeing domestic violence. This is not a warming shelter. The residents return to the same bed each night during their stay. Area schools are set to receive the children so they don't fall behind. Emergency food, clothing plus resources and Case Management available.
WIT - Women in Transition (single women)
Homeward Bound - Women with Children (single moms)
Clients call the main office or the shelter direct after hours and begin the dialogue.
Often a waiting list. Turnover nearly very day. Some days there is space available for immediate assistance.These two facilities operate concurrently as domestic violence safe houses, and are therefore in undisclosed locations. Information is given, as needed during the telephone dialogue.
